When the ship is a rockin . . .

You still have to do a show.

Most of the time.

I can count on one hand the number of times I have experienced a show cancellation on a cruise ship.  Had one yesterday though. You know the ship is moving too much when you can’t get thru a rig check without an issue. I’m currently an Automation Technician for a cruise line, so rocky weather makes me more nervous than most.  We got down to 45 minutes prior to showtime before we all can together and decided this wasn’t going to be the best idea. Thankfully! Image

I feel like I feel like that a lot.

Well, I take that back, I feel like that when people are stupid. 🙂

Anyway, we leave today for an 8 day cruise back to the Caribbean. Hanging out in the US at the moment, enjoying the free internet (if you’ve ever worked on a ship before, you know the value of that last thing!).

I am a theatre gypsy.

I sometimes forget where I am exactly.  I mean, I don’t really take it in that I’m sitting in the Caribbean right now and later I’ll go back to my floating city and do a major show tonight.

How do you forget something like that? That shouldn’t be something easy to forget 🙂

That is the purpose of this blog . . . to help me remember where I am and how lucky that makes me.

I’m a theatre gypsy. So consider this a look into my passport and resume all at the same time.
